That time of year is almost here, friends! Hockey Night in Barrie 7 will take place (as always) at the Barrie Molson Centre on August 14th, 2014. Doors will be open at 5:30 and the pre game is set to start at 6:30. As always the event is in support of RVH here in Barrie.
In the 6 year history of the event it has raised over $1.1 million for the RVH. Last years event was the biggest in the events history bringing in $250,000!

I don't think there is a better event to attend personally. Being able to support RVH, watch some great hockey with current NHL players, as well as former all-stars, musicians, comedians and much more for a low price is win-win for everyone!
So far they have Aaron Ekblad, former Barrie Colt and current Winnipeg Jets centre Mark Scheifele, Sabres centre Cody Hodgson, NHL Hockey Hall of Fame member Mike Gartner, local NHL veterans Shayne Corson and Darcy Tucker, as well as former Jets player, NHL Hockey Hall of Fame member and current head coach of the Barrie Colts Dale Hawerchuk. In addition, former NHLers Gary Leeman and Troy Crowder will be returning to the event. As for the entertainment side of the evening, Canadian Hollywood star Alan Thicke will once again be returning to the event. And more names will be announced as time goes on. Last years it was pretty close to the event when Tampa Bay Lightning Steven Stamkos was added to the event!
