Game Recap: The @OHLBarrieColts leave the @Sudbury_Wolves crying wolf in Sudbury. #OHL


Last night the Colts CRUSHED the Wolves 6-2 in Sudbury. This was the 6th meeting so far this season of 8 this season. In the 6 games, Barrie has won all 6 games and outscored Sudbury 39-17.

First Period: The first period was pretty slow. The Colts out shot the Wolves 13-9. Sudbury took a late checking from behind call and Joseph Blandisi would make them pay giving the Colts a 1-0 lead. The goal was Blandisi's 33 goal of the season and both Andrew Mangiapane and Rasmus Andersson were credited with assists.


With less than a minute left in the period Sudbuy would tie the game on a Jeff Corbett goal. Headed into the first intermission the Colts and Wolves were tied at 1.

Second Period: Wood would (wood, would.. Sounds funny) give the Wolves the lead a little more than 7 minutes into the period. Wolves lead 2-1.

14:54 into the period Blandisi would score his second of the night tying the game 2-2. Laser and Labanc both got assists.

A couple minutes later Roy Radke scored his 8th of the season to give the Colts their second lead of the night. Bauman and Nosad both got assists on the goal.

Colts out shot the Wolves 15-13 in the period and have a 3-2 lead.

Third Period: Colts continued to run away with the lead in the 3rd period. Labanc would score and both Lemieux and Mangiapane would get power play goals to give the Colts a 6-2 win over Sudbury!

Game Notes:

  • Kevin Labanc would get his fourth 4 point night on the season with 1 goal and 3 assists. 
  • Joseph Blandisi had a 3 point night. 
  • Colts went 3-7 on the power play.
