6 Barrie Colts invited to NHL Training Camps. #NHL #OHL


Yesterday the OHL announced its list of OHL players who were invited to NHL Training Camps for the upcoming 2016-17 NHL season. 164 players who represent the OHL will be trying to land spots on NHL rosters.

6 Players on the Colts have been invited. Here is the list.

Andrew Mangiapane - Calgary Flames. (Drafted by Calgary)
Rasmus Andersson - Calgary Flames. (Drafted by Calgary)
Mackenzie Blackwood - New Jersey Devils. (Drafted by New Jersey)
Dylan Sadowy - Detroit Red Wings. (Drafted by San Jose)
Roy Radke - Chicago Blackhawks. (Drafted by Chicago)
Cordell James - Dallas Stars. (Free Agent; Undrafted)

There are 29 of 30 NHL teams with OHL players invited to camp. Arizona has the most invites with 13 players coming out to their camp.

As for OHL players sent to NHL camps, the London Knights have 16 players who will be hopeful to land NHL spots. Kitchener Rangers have 12 players and Windsor Spitfires 11 players off to NHL camps including 2 former Barrie Colts Brendan Lemieux and Julius Nattinen.
