18 days until the start of the Barrie Colts 2017-18 regular season!

Bryan Little wore 18 with the Barrie Colts. The Ponies selected him at the 2003 OHL Priority Selection draft, 50th overall. He made his Colts debut season in 2003-04 where he would go on to score 34 goals and 24 assists for a total of 58 points in 64 games played. His 34 goals that season is the 2nd most in team history. Only Denis Shvidki would score more goals when he got 35 in 1998-99.

2005-06 he would play his 3rd season in Barrie and was named an alternate captain. It was also his first OHL season he would put up more than 100 points. Over 64 games he scored 42 goals and 67 assists for a total of 109 points. The team had a solid playoff run that year and in 14 games, Bryan would total 23 points. 

That year, Little would go on to get drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers, 12th overall at the 2006 NHL Draft. 

The next season would be his last in Barrie before moving on to the pro leagues. Ho would score 41 goals and 66 assists over 57 games that year. 2 points shy of his OHL career high but he managed to reach that total in 7 less games. 

Over 4 OHL seasons with the Colts, Little played in 247 games where he scored 153 goals, 189 assists and totaled 342 points. After 4 years in the OHL here is how he ranks among all time Colts.

Image result for bryan little barrie coltsOver 2007-08 he would split his time between the Atlanta Thrashers and the Chicago Wolves. He would help the Wolves to go on to win the Calder cup that season. Little would play in 3 more seasons with Atlanta before the team was relocated to Winnipeg.
Bryan has played in 672 NHL games since leaving the OHL which is the 3rd most among Barrie Colts alumni players. Only Dan Girardi and Martin Skoula have played in more. In that time, he has put up 184 goals, 248 assists for a total of 432 points. 


The Barrie Colts home opener is Thursday, September 21st when the host the Ottawa 67's.
