Barrie Colts select Maksim Zhukov 48th Overall at CHL Import Draft. #OHL

The Barrie Colts have selected goaltender Maxim Zhukov 48th overall at the CHL Import Draft.

Maksim has spent the last two seasons playing for the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL. In 2017-18, Zhukov played in 53 games, with a 2.45 GAA and .909 SAV%. The Russian goaltender won a silver medal at the U17 WHC and a bronze medal at the 2016-17 U18 WJC. He was also named the tournaments best goalie with a .926 SAV% which was the best at the tournament.

At the 2017 NHL draft he was selected 96th overall by the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
