Last night it was announced that the Barrie Colts had traded forward Dalton DuHart to the Saginaw Spirit. Here is a look at the full deal.

TO BARRIE
  • Nicholas Porco
  • Ian Lemieux
TO SAGINAW
  • Dalton DuHart
  • 2nd round pick in 2020 (Oshawa)
  • 2nd round pick in 2024 (Kingston)
  • 3rd round pick in 2021 (Soo)
  • 3rd round pick in 2022 (Owen Sound)
  • 5th round pick in 2023 (Barrie)
The Dallas Stars drafted Porco in the fifth round (142nd overall) at the 2019 NHL Draft. This season, the Soo native has played 14 games and has four goals and three assists. Through 139 OHL games, he has 29 goals and 28 assists. Standing at 6' and 176 pounds, Porco is an excellent skater who will be a nice fit with the quickness of the Colts.

Porco wore 71 in Saginaw, which is the same number as Barrie Colts leading scorer Tyson Foerster. On Porco's Instagram, it seems that he has changed his number to 74, but we are waiting on confirmation from the team.

Ian Lemieux is a defenceman who has played in just 25 career OHL games where he has one assist during last season. Lemieux is 6' and weighs 176 pounds.

DuHart is expected to make his Spirit debut tonight when the team hosts the Soo Greyhounds.

We would like to welcome Porco and Lemieux to the Colts! And thank you, DuHart for your time and hard work here in Barrie.
