TRADE: Colts Trade Captain Jason Willms to Knights. #OHL


The Barrie Colts are still making moves today having traded OA captain Jason Willms to the London Knights. In return, Barrie has acquired OA forward Josh Nelson, a second-round pick (2021) and a fourth-round pick (2024).

The Colts selected Willms 43rd overall at the 2015 Priority Selection Draft. He has not missed a single game in his OHL career having played in 239 games. Through three and a half seasons, he has scored 78 goals and 91 assists. This year his has totalled 18 goals and 23 assists in 35 games played.

Willms is loved by fans and teammates. He will be a great addition to the Knights. 

Josh Nelson joins Barrie after playing his OHL career to this point in London. He has played 37 games this season and put up four goals and 11 assists. Through 206 career games, he has a total of 33 goals and 37 assists. Nelson will bring back some leadership to the team.
