Game Preview - Hamilton Bulldogs @ Barrie Colts.


Tonight the Barrie Colts host the Hamilton Bulldogs for the third time this season. The season series is split with Barrie winning the last game in overtime following a Nathan Allenesen goal.

Hamilton comes into Barrie riding a 6-2-1-1 record in their last ten games. They won their last game Sunday 6-4 in Oshawa. George Diaco scored the game-winner while Logan Morrison would put the insurance goal into the empty net before the final minute of regulation. Marco Costantini made 36 saves earning his seventh win of the season.


Barrie has won their last two games and a 6-3-1-0 record in their previous ten games played. Sunday, the team earned a 4-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves. Cooper Matthews scored his first career game-winning goal while Evan Vierling scored his seventh of the season as insurance.

Barrie was solid on specialty teams producing on 2-for-6 on the power play and killing four penalties. Matteo Lalama had a strong game for the ponies making 26 of 28 saves.

 

Barrie has struggled at home this season with a 4-5-1-0. They have managed to win two of their last three at Sadlon against Niagara. The Colts will look to continue that momentum against the second-placed team in the conference.
