Tanner Pearson, Kyle Clifford (both of the Kings) and Daniel Girardi (of the Rangers) look to bring home the greatest prize in hockey this year and though it will be a tough series one thing that we know for sure is that at least one of these players will be getting a championship ring!
Tanner Pearson joined the Colts in the 2010-11 season where he he posted 42 points (16 G, 27 A). His second year was when he really stood out when he more than doubled his point production posting a massive 91 points in 60 games played (37 G, 54 A). That season, he was also a OHL Second Team All-Star. That was his final season with the team.
Kyle Clifford played 3 seasons with the Colts from the 07-08 season to the 09-10 season. In those 3 years he totaled 45 goals, 55 assists and 327 penalty minutes. In his final season with the team the Colts made it to the OHL Championship where they were swept 4-0 by Windsor. In the playoffs that season, Clifford posted 14 points.
Daniel Girardi was a part of the team for 3 seasons but only played a total of 58 games. That doesn't include the 20 games he played on the team in the playoff run in the 2001-02 season where the Colts made it to the finals, only to be eliminated by Erie in 5 games. So who are you cheering for? Kings or the Rangers? Either way, you can't help but cheer on former players of the Barrie Colts!
