Game Preview: The @OHLBarrieColts face @AttackOHL in Owen Sound.

Tonight the Colts head to Owen Sound to take on the Attack. This is the third of six meetings this season between the two teams and both have won a game each. Barrie won the last meeting 2-1 in a game on December 29th.

Owen Sound is coming off of a 4-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers last Saturday. They are currently sitting in 5th place in the MidWest Division and 6th in the Western Conference. In the last 10 games they have a 5-5-0-0 record. They are hoping to start up a string of wins and getting a W over a team like Barrie could really help boost them headed into this final stretch of the season. It could also be carried into the final 3 match ups between the two teams.

Barrie still holds first in the division but barely and are in second in the East trailing the Generals who have already clinched a playoff spot. They look to continue their 4 game winning streak tonight coming off a huge 7-1 win over Sudbury this past Saturday. In the 4 game win streak the Colts have outscored the opposing team 21-10. The stars and supporting staff are scoring and the defensemen and goaltending have really been solid.

Keys to Success: The Colts were 2-4 on the power play. Still the most penalized team in the league it is important that not only they keep killing off penalties but take advantage when the opposing team takes a penalty. The Colts need to get lots of shots on net and make sure that they continue to play smart in their end.

Players to Watch: Both Nosad and Mangiapane had 2 goals each last game while Andersson had a 4 assist night. 6 players had at least 2 points also in Sudbury. Harpur ended the last game a -4 which is a tough pill to swallow in a 7-1 win for your team. I would look for him to have a gig bounce back game.

Erik Bradford returns to face his former Colt team and is a player you always gotta watch. He is 4th in team scoring and has 47 points in 50 games. Also Kyle Platzer has great vision and makes a lot of great plays that often lead to goals. He is 12th for points in the OHL.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 tonight in Owen Sound.
