Barrie Colts: 2018-19 OHL Coaches Poll. #OHL


The Ontario Hockey League has released the winners of the 2018-19 Coaches Poll.

The poll allows coaches the opportunity to recognize three players from both conferences. There are 20 different categories included.

Three Barrie Colts players made six of the categories for the Eastern Conference. Here is a look at who placed and where.

Most Underrated Player:

3. Jason Willms, Barrie Colts 

Smartest Player:
1. Marco Rossi, Ottawa 67’s
2. Ryan Suzuki, Barrie Colts
3. Justin Brazeau, North Bay Battalion

Best Playmaker:
1. Ryan Suzuki, Barrie Colts 
2. Jason Robertson, Niagara IceDogs
3. Ryan Merkley, Peterborough Petes

Best Stickhandler:
1. Nick Robertson, Peterborough Petes
2. Ryan Suzuki, Barrie Colts
3. Sasha Chmelevski, Ottawa 67’s

Best on Face-Offs:
1. Jason Willms, Barrie Colts
2. Zach Gallant, Peterborough Petes
3. Jack Studnicka, Niagara IceDogs, Sasha Chmelevski, Ottawa 67’s

Best Body Checker:
1. Tyler Tucker, Barrie Colts finished third in 2017-18
2. Navrin Mutter, Hamilton Bulldogs
3. Brad Chenier, North Bay Battalion
