Barrie Colts on 1990-1991 Pro Set Hockey Cards #OHL #NHL

Its everybody's favourite time of year! You know, when we are already tired of writing about things like discipline and special teams and are in DIRE need of a fun distraction!

For those of you follow us regularly (whether it be by choice or by Ryan Noble spamming your timelines) you might remember us doing a post of photoshops of Barrie Colts on O-Pee-Chee cards from 1971-72. If you missed it, or just want to relive the excitement you can look at that post here.

It was a fairly popular post and one we really enjoyed doing so NATURALLY we want to do it again! And don't think this is a "redo" post we are doing because we are out of ideas or anything like that because that couldn't be further from the truth. The reality is that we just ARE REALLY OUT OF IDEAS!

This time around we decided to do 1990-91 Pro Set cards. Why? Well, they are recognizable for one. I remember when I was a kid it seemed ALL of my friends had several complete sets. I had to get rid of sets I had so many. They were also really cheap because, well they were everywhere. Not only is it recognizable but it was just a terrible set of cards. Question; What is the proper spelling of former Boston Bruin blue liner "Ray Bourque"? Want a hint? Don't ask Pro-Set. Pro-Set was known for being a large set. It seemed every player past or present and their mother got a card. And spelling was not an issue for them! I say that because typos seemed like they were a must.

ANYWAYS you are not here for a history of the over rated old hockey card set but to see how Barrie Colts would look on them!

Note: The series had Official cards, Hall of Fame cards, All Star cards and pretty much anything else you can think of. We tried to do this justice by adding a Colts Alumni set in this collection and of course an Official card..

What are your favourite hockey cards? Maybe we will try putting Colts on those cards. Let us know what you want to see on our Facebook Page or on Twitter!
